Great Film and some of you need to re-watch it.

How could anyone not like Battlestar Galactica Razor. It’s just as good, if not better than the first two seasons. I read over the comments on the message board for BSG: Razor, and really felt that the critics didn’t understand the characters. The entire overview of commanding officer decision making was brought together in the speech given by Admiral Adama at the end of the movie.
Decisions made by Admiral Cain and later, by Executive Officer Shaw made perfect sense. Viewers critical of Cain really needed to evaluated Cain before the destruction of Caprica and the colonial fleet.

Cain is devoted to her ship and responsibilities, but the film clearly showed her compassionate side. After the destruction of Caprica, Cain is traumatized and the Battlestar Pegasus is thought to be totally alone. Cain shot her Ex Officer because he refused to follow orders. Critics are correct that this was harsh, but sending Fisk to his quarters in the heat of battle could have been seen as weakness by other bridge officers, and they could have mutinied as well. Cain needed her battle orders followed immediately. Fisk essentially thought mid-battle was a good time to mutiny, which was stupid.
Killing the civilians on the civilian ships might have been the only means for the Pegasus to survive, given the limitations in resources.
Ex O Shaw also knew what was at stake with her final mission.

This is a good film, and in the tradition of the first two seasons. I will have to watch the final seasons to see what has some people upset, but I do recall the ending, which is in parity with the Erich von Däniken/Ancient Astronaut sub-plot followed in the tradition of the original series from the ‘70’s.

It's a very good movie, I've seen it 4 times now since 2009. Fits snug between 2 episodes in the later half of Season 2 of BSG, I don't think the reveal of Kara being the "harbinger of death" by the Hybrid is a spoil at all. Many characters are given cryptic comments like that throughout the series, most people would just shrug it off--and besides, by the end of it all, Kara most certainly was not the Harbinger of Death--but quite the opposite.
