CANCELLED! NBC SUX!!!

nbc just cancelled 'Thank God Youre Here'. all the good shows that have premeiered this season are getting axed. network execs are retarded.

reply

maybe this show is the reason NBC sucks?

reply

i cannot say whether NBC sucks or not as i do live in australia but i must say that i have seen clips from the american version and there is no comparison between our version (aussie) and yours. our version is simply better in all aspects.
whether the celebrities/comedians you have on just cannot brace the concept of improvising in a funny way i dont know, but after what i saw from the american version, it is no wonder they axed it.

reply

I agree, im an aussie and i think the australian version is great. in my opinion, funniest skit so far would be sean mcallef on the picnic. He was so good he made the actors who were in on it speechless. Havnt seen any of the american version but if the american version is as half as funny as the aussie version, it wouldnt have been cancelled.

reply

I'm another aussie here and like most i HAVE to agree The Australian Version is the original and the best! I saw some clips of the american one, i thought it was ok, but the actors really didn't improvise as well as they could of. I recommend to all the americans here to go onto youtube and watch some clips of the aussie one. it doesn't matter if you know the comedians or not (which you probably won't), all that matters is that they're very Funny and can improvise greatly! :)

reply

Yeah... I completely agree! I'm Australian as well and after seeing the some clips of the US version on youtube I have to say that the Australian original version is much better! It sort of seems that the US one uses actors from well known shows rather than comedians like the Aussie one does - maybe that it is its problem? But to all the Americans out there, I totally recommend you watch the Aussie one on youtube... it's First Class Australian Comedy!

Btw, Hamish Blake is the best ever performer to be on TGYH! He rocks!

reply

I'm an American and I totally agree with you, the Aussie version just plain kicked the US version's butt. Josh Lawson, Hamish Blake, Cal Wilson - the best, those three combined in their skits are funnier than all of what the actors over here did. I wish I could see all of them. Any idea how I can get all of the aussie TGYH episodes?

I must give credit to Bryan Cranston though, he was awesome, simply awesome.

Oh, and the guy doing the cook skit was Ahn Do. I think that's the right spelling.

Whoever NBC has making the decision of what shows get signed on for an additional season, or what shows are canceled, should be shot in the toe!!!

First Studio 60, then Crossing Jordan, now this!

I don't get it.

reply

I agree! Check out the Aussie version.

reply

I am not surprised. I watched each episode and I cannot remember when there was such a marriage of corn and cheese in just an hour show, speaking specifically of the banter between David Foley and David Alan Grier. I was hoping for more, like a funnier Whose Line.. but alas. Some did rather well, disappointingly Jason Alexander was embarrassing and sad, like George Wendt on Whose Line is it Anyway ( you gotta see that one, whew!!)

reply

how do you know that this was CANCELLED

reply

I downloaded the first season and so far have watch the first 3 episodes and I think the show is *beep* hilarious. But a lot of people on here seem to be glad it got cancelled. Does it get worse after the first few episodes or what? At this point I can't get enough.

reply

i liked it i do not know why they CANCELLED IT

reply

Part of the beauty of this show was that it showed people fail at improv as well as succeed.

Improv is really a mixed bag.
