It's 'Friday' for a new generation....

Just heard that in a commercial for the movie. That translates to "This movie sucks, so we'll try to get people to actually see it by reminding them of a really funny movie that they remember from like 10 years ago."

Personally I think it is nothing like Friday which is a good thing. I think it is better. You have young people (Bow Wow and Naturi Naughton's characters) who were about something and wanted to do something with their lives as opposed to the lazy pot smoking characters on Friday. And while I did see some of Chris Tucker's mannerisms in Brandon T Jackson, I think that as it went along, he managed to make the character his own and by the end you were not feeling as if it was Chris Tuckerish so much.

Personally the acting and jokes in this was much better to me

"They told you you were stupid, ugly and doomed to fail............and you believed them"

no no this movie is very well supposed to be friday, just with SOME of its own ideas, but it was so obviously trying to be a modern day friday.

This was a bad clone of Friday. It had the gangster he owed money to, the bully, he fights the bully and wins etc etc. The only difference was lottery money instead of weed.
