Just heard that in a commercial for the movie. That translates to "This movie sucks, so we'll try to get people to actually see it by reminding them of a really funny movie that they remember from like 10 years ago."

"Friday" was great. A truly hilarious movie. One of the best comedies of the past 25 years IMO.
But this looks no different than every lame ass Tyler Perry movie that rolls down the pike every 6 months.
I said it in another thread, movies like this are to black people what movies like Meet the Spartans and Disaster Movie are to white people.

shareActually there were alot of blatant references to Friday in the movie, and this much was apparent from the first 5 minutes..Bow Wow's best friend was trying his hardest Chris Tucker "SMokey" impersonation, Ice Cube was the father figure, The theme with the protagonist getting out of jail, and even lines in the movie directly referenced Friday. To say that this movie IS the Friday for this generation is no accurate, as it just wasn't done as well as Friday was..
