it was just perfect

I read that book after I watched this brilliant movie. Of course, like all scenarios based on novels, it doesn't include some persons. That is why some events must be changed but IT makes the movie attractive I think..

Zülfü Livaneli's musics and Murat Han's performance was the most important things that make the movie watchable. Also, Özgü Namal was very good.

Perfect, except for the amateur acting, and cliched plot, like a TV movie, but whatever, can't get enough of that tasty melodrama

Thank you for the different points of view and insights. You have all given me something to think about. Saw it again recently, and I still saw it's a wonderful film.

As movies go, it was very enjoyable. But it was a very slick production with an implausible plotline (they happen to meet the professor just when they needed to?).

I was left wondering how well the film accurately represents Turkey, especially since Turkey has turned significantly towards fundamentalism in the years since it was made.
