it was just perfect

I read that book after I watched this brilliant movie. Of course, like all scenarios based on novels, it doesn't include some persons. That is why some events must be changed but IT makes the movie attractive I think..

Zülfü Livaneli's musics and Murat Han's performance was the most important things that make the movie watchable. Also, Özgü Namal was very good.

I read the book before I saw this film and thought it probably wouldn't do the book justice. Happily, I thought that the film was as good, perhaps better, than the book. The young woman was amazing in this role. The music and cinematography were perfect. Does anyone have recommendations for other Turkish films?

reply

My two recommendations (although very different types of films than "Bliss"):

1. Head-On
2. Edge of Heaven

I loved this movie...

and it is impossible not to fall in love with Özgü Namal in this movie.

for other Turkish movies, watch especially "My father and my son", maybe the best movie I ever seen, and it is in some way similar to "Bliss" as it is also extraordinary emotional

thank you for the recommendation of "My Father and My Son". Do you know where I might be able to find a disc of this movie? netflix doe not have it available.

Thank you so much.

Absolutely agree with OP - perfect. After I finished watching it the first time, I immediately started it again and watched it a second time. Still loved it even the next day when I watched it a third time with my husband. LOVE.THIS.MOVIE.
