Surprisingly Disturbing

I made the mistake of watching this with my pregnant wife a few nights ago thinking it would be a ridiculous horror movie instead of the lifetime-esque presentation of a mother killing her children that we watched.

I've gone through the shocking film iceberg, and have watched everything from a Serbian Film and Sado, to Irreversible and Martyrs. Though Baby Blues doesn't have a notable level of gore and overall violence, and isn't even s particularly good film, I found it just as disturbing as any of those other films I mentioned.

I know this is an obscure movie, but does anyone else who has seen it and the other films that I mentioned feel the same way?

PS watching this film with your pregnant wife is about as dumb as the time I invited a date over to watch Gummo years ago. Both involved a long, awkward silence as the credits rolled.
