I need help from an expert in Martial art! Thank you!

I am not really into Martial Arts so I hope there is some help to find on this border. I need a martial art that can help me fight a lot of bandies. Imagine yourself being in a situation where 7 guys where about to beat the crack out of you. Do you have any idea what kind of martial art would work in this kind of situation?

Also, you hear a lot of what kind of crab kungfu, aikido and all the others stuff would never work for you in a real situation. Any suggestion? I don't want to spend time at something that doesn't work. I have heard that Keysi Fighting Method is something of a real (born on the street). Someone? Please help!

Thank you!

Against 7 attackers? You better have a good weapon, or you're dog meat. If you don't have one, try Nike-justu.. LOL!

Seriously, training to fight 7 guys successfully - meaning you don't die - is unrealistic. Seven guys determined to stomp the life out of you is a worst case scenario for anyone, regardless of your weight division in the UFC or what SEAL team you're assigned to.

If you really, REALLY have to fight that many attackers, a weapon is your best bet. A weapon is a force multiplier; it may not tilt the odds completely in your favor, but it is a definite improvement over bare hands in a 7-to-1 scenario. With good training, a granny with a glock and hollow points can take on 7 guys.

For weapons, I recommend Filipino Martial Arts (Kali, Escrima, Arnis). Very practical, translates to empty hand easily and gives you awareness of weapons.

In my experience, I've learned that once you thin the pack of one, most will learn back away. Especially against three or more. Unless they have planned a entire choreographed hitting pattern, they won't all attack you at the same time. And many won't risk hitting their friends just to hit you once.

My second piece of information would be to, not listen to those who mention Ninjitsu, or any other made up art. Ninjitsu is NOT a martial art. If anything the idea of ninjitsu is stealth, not encounters with multiple people. Ignore any martial art that is more style over substance. Karate and Aikido fall under this category, though , against an "average joe" anything and everything works.

I would strongly advise Krav Maga, Hapkido, Penjyat Silat.

That is a good art.

Kali(Filipino Martial Arts); You would want to study Panantukan and Sword/knife fighting for your footwork and reflexes. I have got jumped plenty times and always won. Last time I got jumped I was jumped by 9 unarmed people.

Don't go for your regular FMA/JKD gym where you see Instructors with certifcations like "full instructor" or "assisant instructor" or whateva. Find a real Kali practitioner that practices it as life or death. Luckily I found only one teacher in St.Louis and his name is Jay D'amato. He was trained under grandmaster Leo Gaje in Pekiti-tirsia Kali.

Krav Maga and all that other stuff is useless. Boxing and Kickboxing all come from a weapon-based martial art like FMA
