White Parents Giving Birth To Black Children

There has been no other case since Sandra Laing when it comes to a couple with a Caucasoid phenotype producing a child with a Negroid phenotype anywhere in the world.

I have read studies that say 30% of White Americans have a drop of African blood in their family tree, but yet you never see these throwback cases happen in the White American community where a White American couple produced an African American looking child. If it did happen in America, news channels like FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc certainly would have covered it by now because something like that happening is so rare that it would certainly would be considered newsworthy.

I highly doubt her’s was the only case there are probably more out there then one would think just not everyone feels the need to make it newsworthy or even some people might cover it up. There was a black couple on a talk show some years ago, they had a very light child, blonde hair blue eyes, the kid could have passed as white. Then there was I think about a year ago black couple in London who had had a “white baby”.

I'm not geneticist, but I think it can happen and is astoundingly rare, hence why you don't see it often.

You should have said no other "reported" case. Many people don't want publicity over this. I knew a girl when I was growing up who was adopted out because she wasn't "white" enough for her so-called "white" parents. So she was given to a very dark family that she didn't resemble in the least and ended up taking their abuse for her difference. There are many, many cases like this. I read an article about ten years ago about a baby that was placed with a "black" family. Eventually she found that her non-white parent was actually Native American. She had the misfortune to be born in the US south, where if you are not white you are automatically black. The whites in charge of childrens adoptions stuck her in a black family. It would have been better if she had been placed with her Native American relatives.The whole adoption process in the US is horrible.

I'm pretty sure Maury has covered this... probably more than once.

[for the record, I've never actually seen an episode but it's been on when I've switched on the tv before and the only one I noticed/remember was about a couple who were fair and had the appearance of European ancestry but they had a baby she was very dark, with the appearance of African ancestry. The dad was convinced the mother had cheated. I turned it on right when the dna test was revealed, the rest I got from those helpful little information banners they have at the bottom of the screen specifying the accusation/allegation.]

Anyway, Maury Povich can't have been the only one addressing the situation.

Actually their first kid was white. Only their other two- Sandra and her brother looked mixed race. Hmmn. Also I should say there was no DNA or genetic testing back then and Sandra's Mother worked alone in their shop frequently. Surprise Surprise.
