no offence but I didn't know guys watched HSM!
Anyway I just watched it for the first time today (late, I know).
I would rate it 7/10, it was good and entertaining, I loved how it was melodramatic and fun, but it didn't really flow well and the songs weren't as good as ones in the other movies. Plus the storyline wasn't as strong for me, and I didn't really like the script as much.

HSM1: 7/10 - flowed well :)
HSM2: 7/10 - too bubblegum poppy and didn't flow well but the songs were great. Got a bit annoyed by Gabriella's OTT innocent image though.
HSM3: 7/10 - It seemed all over the place but, well, it worked and felt like a real movie rather than a HSM air-on-TV one. It had the strength to compete with other films in the cinemas.
I rate them all 7/10 but like them in different ways. I wouldn't say one is better than another.

Never thought I'd say this, but I loved it. The first I thought was okay, though a bit too 'Grease'-like (and I hate 'Grease' with a passion), probably about 6.5/10. Then I hated the second one (3/10, only because I loved that song 'I Don't Dance'). And refused to watch this one for ages, but finally I caved today and to my tremendous surprise, I absolutely loved it. 9/10. Which is very strange to me as I was so completely hating on the entire franchise previously.

I'm kinda disappointed by the notes people give on imdb. I noticed the first one was about 5/10, the second 4.5 but I really can't understand the average of 3.6 for HSM3. It's sad to see that some people are judging a movie when they may have not seen it. I'm pretty sure some of the really bad notes came from people who wanted to discredit the series. Anyways I don't really care.
