I don't know why Hollywood keeps pushing it. Nobody I knows likes it. They should have had the chipmunks singing country western.

Let's be clear...that was NOT Hip-Hop...it's pop music! So, what you hate is pop music. The crap that Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake, etc. sing. Note, the ridiculous shiny costumes and boy-band dance moves. If you're going to blindly hate a music form at least know which one you're hating.

I don't understand why in every american comedy movies they always have to please the black people and support black music. No offense but I absolutely agree that hiphop is garbage, it definitely ruined the movie because people (who are a fan of the chipmunks) are not used to see chipmunks singing hiphop songs?! I was like WTF? when I saw the movie!
they're like P-DIDDY WITH A FUR?! RIGHT.

That was not hip hop in the movie. People think that anything with a heavy beat and with rhyming lyrics is hip hop. That isn't the case. I was a hip hop DJ in the 90's, and I wouldn't play any of those songs.

However, has anyone forgot what the chipmunks are? They are funny parodies of popular music. The album "Chipmunk Punk" in 1980 had no punk rock in it. It had tracks like "Crazy little thing called love" (Queen) and "My Sharona" (The Knack). What is the most popular type of music today? Pop!!! There is hip hop influence in todays pop, but that doesn't make it hip hop. That's like calling TLC a Rap Group just because Lisa Lopez used a rap style in her portion of the lyrics. The Chipmunks are just a funny voiced take on current popular music, and has been throughout their 50 year history.

true, its pop not hip hop. there is hip hop moments in witch doctor but its not hip hop its modern pop. Anyway after counting the amount of hip hop they sung on the movie they actually sang more hip hop rap in the cartoon series in the 80s and 90s, Back to Alvins future and Meet Frankenstein for example. And 4 the record (or CD hahaha bad joke) Hip hop is wonderful music, I used 2 critisize it then I though there must be some reason why people like it and I gave it a chance and I discoered how great it is

Not really. That's mostly teenagers and young adults. Kids tend to like pop and pop-rock.
