I'm surprised people don't like this

I just watched Salt for the first time and really enjoyed it. I thought it was well written and full of action. I was so surprised to see quite a bit of dislike on here. Maybe i'm easily pleased?

reply

They do like it they're just trolling.

reply

Possibly. And there's nothing wrong with that.

In my case, I just seen better.

Stuff like this reminds me of "Movie Poop Shoot.com" from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

reply

Well.. After watching the movie and thinking about all the crazy *beep* that Salt did, it's pretty unbelievable

kills russian president, gets captured & escapes ( lame security for someone who just killed a president I may add) ... It's only after she escaped and is practically next to the US president that they find out russian president is still alive

Then later on kills US president (Suspected of killing him.. not that it matters)

KILLS a dude while 2 guards are escorting her and then ESCAPES AGAIN

you'd be less lucky winning the national lottery.

I still gave it a 7 because it was entertaining to watch, which in the end is what matters most to me when watching a movie.

I find it a bit odd that a plot like this would be made into a movie, considering how unreal it is.. but they did a good job making it watchable.

I loved "Wanted" and I enjoyed "Tomb Raider" so I went into this with high hopes. Anyone expecting another "Wanted" is going to be sadly disappointed, this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The plot is ridiculous- it made me laugh out loud because some of it was so stupid. Avoid at all costs.

reply

Do not avoid at all costs. It is an entertaining action thriller. Yes, it has absurdities but for some reason the movie works.

I really enjoyed this movie as well despite the plot holes (1 billion Muslims pose no threat to the U.S., none of them even have a blue water navy).

All the people in the Force Awakens boards think people like me are misogynists for not like The Force Awakens. But I like female action stars if they are somewhat believable. Yes Jolie is only 105 pounds, but she has this look on her face like she'll rip your balls off. I really enjoyed her as a female action star. Another example I can think of is Linda Hamilton from T2. On the other hand Rey from Force awakens has no threatening look to her, she just looks like she'll hug and kiss you to death. I enjoy female action stars, just not the actress who plays Rey in The Force Awakens (she's horrible, and that movie was bad). Jolie was just bad a.. in this movie. The look on her face when she kills Orlav and the other people on the boat is intense. That look alone makes her believable and a great action star.

this movie is one of the rare occasions where i rate a movie higher than the IMDB rating, i consider myself a pretty difficult to satisfy viewer

7/10

so many movies, so little time

reply

I enjoyed it also, and it held up to a second viewing (for me, at least) despite naturally being spoiled of all the plot twists and turns. Edge-of-your-seat, suspended-disbelief entertainment.

"Now if any of you, sons of bitches, got anything else to say, now's the f-cking time!"

reply

It's the best spy/action movies of all time. They don't like it because they are simply jealous of Jolie.
