June Lockhart as Grandma

I thought June was so funny in this. I read somewhere that most of her lines were added herself because her part was really under written. I thought she was great and when she burst in the door the first time with the line...

"I'm freezing my tatas off!"

That was just great! Funny too that she kept saying that she was on Broadway once because in real life she was. Won a Tony and everything, which by the way she has submitted to the Smithsonian! Sweet! The only thing that was a little disapointing was her ending in the movie. I mean she was in the jail and then the movie ended and you never got to see if she got out or what.

Thanks for the insights on June Lockhart. I must add however that she was also annoying. I mean, how many times do we have to hear her say "Don't call me grandma!" Sheesh.

I thought she was great, definitely stole the show. I remember watching her when I was a little kid in the 80s on old B&W Lassie reruns from the 50s. She played Timmy's mom. I'm glad to see she's still acting. Rock on, June!

being a huge fan of LASSIE & LOST IN SPACE & MEET ME IN ST LOUIS, etc. as well as simply loving JUNE ~ i found her scenes 'uncomfortable' & 'embarrassing' and/or 'trying to hard' ... i was sad watching her try to be funny/amusing ~ still it's ALWAYS great to see her! :)
aside from that ~ JUNE got to 'act' with MELISSA JOAN HART & MARIO LOPEZ both alumni from DANCING WITH THE STARS as is/was CLORIS LEACHMAN who was mercifully fired from LASSIE ... the part recast with JUNE! aw hollywood ... such a small town! :)

Me too. I kinda recognized her, but couldn't put my finger on who she was. Your post let me know that she was the mom on "Lost in Space." Nice to see her still in the game, and expanding her role into comedy. Like Leslie Neilsen or Barbara Billingsley in "Airplane." Competely out of character.

I loved the line "I don't know who brought home the bacon, but I'm gonna fry it!" as she holds a gun on the cops.

I enjoyed Grandma too. I liked her sneaking some liquor into herself as that Christmas gathering was an ordeal.

My grandma was a lot like her.
