The Office! (admittedly was great in it's first 3 seasons), Kath & Kim, and now THIS??
What's next? Black Books? Fawlty Towers? Monty Python even??
This is intelligent humour for people with brains. Stop tearing it apart with your spoonfed, nonsensical habit of destroying everything you set your hands on.
Come up with your own ideas and stop ripping off and destroying the greatest shows on earth, you ignorant, tiny minded, money-grubbing snobs!
Am looking forward to your 83rd season of Will & Grace or Survivor, and kicking it under the shelf at the video shop when i'm old and grey

what a dummy. we have our own sense of humor over here. don't see the problem. if you hate our shows why watch them? frankly, I bought the first season of the british office last christmas and it didn't make me laugh. I'm not going to trash it, but it's not to my taste. to each his or her own and to each country her own.
i won't even get into france's love of jerry lewis ROFL.....
just stop watching if you don't like it! Why do you even have our awesome American shows on your tv anyway? Do we broadcast over there too?

Wait! I agree with you Kath and Kim I haven't watched, and won't watch until I see the originals and Coupling(US) version was absolutely terrible. However The Office, I tried to watch with a friend,(the original version) and I didn't understand the jokes really because a lot of the European or British humor is different from our own. However I love most BBC shows and Little Britain is quite the gem, and I equally love the Little Britain USA. I kind of wish they would do a couple more seasons of those shows, granted we do tend to run our series into the ground *Will and Grace* and so on. Please however don't think that all Americans are complete fools and tear these British shows apart as there are many of us that appreciate the very unique humor.

Also if they EVER tried to redo Black Books I would strangle them. That is one damned good show that could never be redone.

The problem is that America take shows that have absolutely no cultural relevance to them, and try to reinvent them in order to give them some. Kath and Kim is a perfect example. I'm an Aussie, and I'm not a huge fan of the show, but I get the wit to it. And if you've never lived in Australia, then you don't know what it's like in places like the western suburbs of Melbourne, and as such wouldn't get the humour. But the American Kath and Kim was NOTHING like ours. Like, NOTHING like it at all. Why even bother stating that it's the same show when it's not remotely like it? It's like they'd never even watched the original, just were given a dot point rundown translated to "American" and told it was successful here.

Thank God You're Here is another one. A very very funny game show here, but lasted what? Three episodes there?

I do like the American Office, and I've never seen the UK version, and I do prefer the US Who's Line Is It Anyway to the UK, but otherwise I do enjoy UK humour for the most part. Black Adder, Mr Bean, etc.

I think in this case it's different, though, because it's not a reinventing of the show, just the latest season in a different location.
