What are your thoughts on the Latin-looking Lois? I thought it was pretty cool. Of course, there's probably already a debate going similar to the one with Lex Luthor being black in the animated series. I just thought it was an interesting twist on the physical appearences of Superman's supporting characters. Maybe Jimmy and Perry are next....

Its a trend in movies now-a-days to do adaptions with odd juxtapositions of character race. Wild Wild West and Dr Dolittle being early ones, Daredevil being another that comes to mind. TMNT did it the opposite direction. I'd much rather see a superhero movie with original characters worked up for and featuring "minorities" rather than potentially irking fans with sometimes very off-kilter swaps.

In the Superman TAS, Luthor obviously used a sunbed, or went on vacation all the time. I know plenty of white people who are so dark because of fake tan, they could be Indian. Notice how in Justice League, Luthor looked a lot paler afte being in jail (this might have been done on purpose, I'm not sure.
Supes looked like a Native American.

Metropolis is a stand-in for LA, the way Gotham is a stand-in for NYC. Of course several people would be tan, especially Supes, since he needs the energy of the Sun.
