ok, I'm not gonna lie, I liked the first one. It defenitly was NOT the greatest movie ever made, but it hade some cool action and was a cool popcorn flick. But I can tell that this one will probably suck A LOT. But why.....WHY is Edward asian in this one??? was he asian in the game???

shareI think people are just pissed because its a different actor playing the same character...Batman, anyone? 5 different ones that I can think of. Hell, I was pissed @ The Dark Knight for casting a different Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal/Katie Holmes).
shareMicheal Pare' was in the beginning of the movie. I think he was going to be Carnby but he probably realised how bad this movie was going to be and things went left.
shareMy main issue with creating a Asian Carnby is that the main character will be too much like Chris Redfield from Biohazard. But them again, they have destroyed the original AitD idea already, so IMO they might also make her a girl, and the old ones should be clowns.. becasue clowns are scary ;)

The way things stand now, Carnby can be asian, european, a woman, a robot, a genetically augmented chipmunk... I stopped caring 10 years ago when in the video game industry they started catering to kiddies and replaced the original character with a 20-something laser-totering emo freak. Alone in the Dark franchise is already mutilated beyond comprehension, so who the hell cares at this point.

sure, make your own movie, and its fine, but in a movie based on something (reality/book/game/other movie/etc) you can't do these things...
People are expecting a bit much from a film series started by U.B. I went into it with low expections, then caught a glimpse of Rick Yune with his shirt off. My suspension of disbelief can be sustained with a few more shots like that. Noooooo problem. =)
shareI have one good answer. This movie sucks anyways, so nobody would care if he is Asian. To piss you guys off there's another movie with an Asian guy playing as a White guy, and kisses a white girl. The movie is "Sister hood of the traveling pants 2" and the he plays as Brian McBrian.
