Sequel - Once Again?

It's probably hard to catch lightning in a bottle for a 2nd time - but a sequel (my title "Once Again")would be a great way to continue the story. Two keys things would be another batch of good songs and keeping it simple and low budget like the first. It could pick up shortly after the movie finished or put a few years between.

I enjoyed Before Sunset almost as much as Before Sunrise. Maybe Once could reward us with a fitting sequel. Others hopeful? Any rumors of this?

Rather than looking for a sequel may I thoroughly recommend going to see Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova perform live as The Swell Season. I had the great pleasure of doing so a couple of years ago and they were sensational, far better than any film sequel could be. I just simply imagined they were the guy and girl from Once, his demo had done well when he moved to London and he'd invited her over to record an album which had gone on to be successful and here they were touring those beautiful songs we first heard in the film.

According to the wiki page for The Swell Season they have been on hiatus since 2011, and I think that Marketa has been doing mostly solo stuff since then.

How about in the sequel. Girl turns up at his house in London after he has made a success of himself and they embark on a torrid affair. After a while he boots out his girlfriend and moves girl in. Time passes and one day, she is looking through his laptop for his songs and she stumbles across thousands of indecent images of kids. It would be called Nonce

Thank you, I'm here all week!!!

I think this is a film that really doesn't need a sequel. The amazing thing about this story is two people fell for each other over their music but knew that what they had could never work and that they had to go their separate ways in the end. It was a fleeting friendship/romance and that's what makes it so beautiful. For me, a sequel would cheapen it.

Once was enough.

Well, Before Sunrise was almost ruined for me after seeing Before Sunset. So if there is ever a sequel, I don't even wanna hear about it. "Once" is perfect as it is.
