Should Hank have shot Jesse and said that he went into question him and he suddenly got violent and tried to kill him so Hank feared for his like and had to shoot him to death?

We know the evil that Jesse has done already ... from the TV God's eye view, and when we finish the series we know that evil just got worse and worse, and he was too weak to resist it.
