The part where "The Man" takes everything from "The Theif"

I found particularly upsetting. Since The Thief obviously was just doing what he had to to survive. He didn't touch the boy, he just took the stuff.

I didn't like how The Man then went on to take literally everything The Thief had.

reply

Yep. He's crossing the line there.

Can't stop the signal.

THere are several instances where the boy can sense it. Maybe it's part of the "passing" on the Fathers morals, goals, whatever, that the Boy is more anxious about becoming a bad guy, and he can see it happening in his father as he grows more and more desperate.

reply

As I recall the boy protested some and at One point they left food clothing, Boots on the road

reply

Yea that scene bothered me a lot yea. I think the father was losing his humanity & didn't care about anything or anyone but his son by that point u know.

reply

In that environment, a person who steals your food might as well be trying to kill you. I have no sympathy for the thief. He deserved to have all his stuff taken. Maybe he even deserved to be killed.

reply

No that's mean u know! The guy said he was sorry & gave it back.

reply

He only gave it back because he was caught. He would have happily left the father and son to starve to death otherwise.
