Actually liked it, any further recommendations?

I am a 20-something year old female with, to this point, an irrational prejudice against romantic comedies. I only watched this for Chris Egan, having been impressed by him in the tv show "Kings"(although as a Brit I found his accent a little disappointing). Anyhow, I actually enjoyed it.

So, can anyone recommend any other films similar to this one that I may enjoy. I think I would prefer light-hearted over serious drama.

Have you ever seen Kate and Leopold? It's with Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman. While Meg Ryan looks absolutely dreadful, I thought it was a cute romantic comedy. If you liked Letters to Juliet, you might like it.

Leap Year maybe?

Sleepless in Seattle, maybe?

While You Were Sleeping?

You could go through the filmographies of Sandra Bullock, Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts etc.

I wouldn't personally have described LtJ as a romantic comedy exactly, more a light romantic drama. I quite enjoyed it, but I don't think I laughed. But there are plenty of good romantic comedies out there if you're new to the genre. If you don't mind older films, Cary Grant made plenty of great ones.

Check out my favorite movie: "A Little Romance."

Don't let anyone tell you anything about it beforehand.

Imagine Diane Lane at age 14. Wonderful film... another "light romantic drama"... with subtle humor here and there.

"Light" doesn't mean lightweight... there's plenty of deeper, soul-searching, thoughtfulness in it, much like "Letters to Juliet."

I love A Little Romance! So glad to find a fellow fan.

I'll add to the list as long as I'm here.

The Matchmaker (the 1997 one)
The Lake House
Serendipity
Sleepless in Seattle
Made of Honor

A Little Romance and not much else

You might like "Only You" which stars Robert Downey Jr. and Marisa Tomei. It shares the same plot of searching for some mysterious guy and going on a road trip in Italy. It also has alot of references to another great rom-com, "Roman Holiday."

While not exactly a strict romance, but "Under The Tuscan Sun" by Diane Lane is also enjoyable for its very lighthearted take of moving to Italy after a divorce.

French Kiss with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline

I'm assuming you've already seen what is probably the greatest modern romantic comedy, WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. if not, drop what you're doing and rent it now.
