Do all black women want drama and thugged up guys?

Don't get offended ladies, I'm a black woman too.

I've been pondering this question because I too, have a strange attraction to aggressive men. Although, I wouldn't like a man if he were aggressive and poor.

If he becomes to aggressive and uncompromising like Buddha, it would turn me off. The tank top and mc hammer weight training pants would also turn me off. The "cone head" would have been a definite turn off. Buddha is not that cute.

A slightly less pussy whipped Tailor Made would do. 1.) he has an income. A surplus even. 2.) He's not bad on the eyes. 3.) He is conniving when it comes to getting what he wants. Tailor Made has the qualities of a man worth fooling around with but none of the qualities that make him worth taking home to mama.

Punk is the PERFECT MATE. The kind of man a woman should want to marry. However, to keep things interesting, you would have to go out of your way to drive him crazy.

Do you think Black women are more inclined to have an attraction to aggressive men? If your answer is "no", what are your reasons? If your answer is "yes" to this politically incorrect topic, then why?

I personally find the thug look unattractive. So it would be out of the question for me. But as far as other types, there is a part of me that loves the aggressive nature of a man... FOR A SHORT TIME.

I guess the fascination is a little like bunji jumping.

Well of course not every woman in the planet likes that just as much as not all guys like Punk are boring. I don't know why anyone is suprise that she sent Punk home she made it obvious in the things she said and how she acted around him. There is a reason why there is a saying nice guys finish last, hopefully this time it will be different but wouldn't be suprised if she picked Buddha.

Yes, this is true! Hopefully, it only lasts when your young but for some reason there is something exciting about the guy who isn't fawning all over you. The guy who is in charge and let's you know what he wants and will tell you no is the guy who is more appealing.

I do however believe that Black women tend to demand a man who has a bit of a swagger to him. He can be attractive and educated but has that extra something that let's you know he's a real man!!

No. Not all black women want drama and thugged up guys. Ask any black woman married to a Ph.D, a politician, a CEO, or someone like me who married a very lovely, handsome man that I would never consider thuggish (he's an artist who could be a MENSA member and he's wonderful.)

No. There are just some surprisingly stupid women out there and it isn't just black women. I see white women with these idiots all the time as well. I'm a black female and I want the furthest thing from those morons.

i think hes aggressive but not thuggish, BUT ny is the one with the problem, and he knows how to play up to it, like he was saying, he was like i dont care about the arguing, but i know she gets off on it, hes playing her like a violin he knows whats buttons to push

My mom taught me to always respect myself and others and it is disrespectful to yourself to allow any man, no as a matter a fact any PERSON to treat you like that. I don't care if it was the king of the universe, he has to respect me just for me to even continue talking to him.

Buddah is definitely not a thug. I think people confuse aggression with thuggishness and they are definitely not the same.

I think that many black women are attracted to the thuggish type guys because there is such a skewed view of what masculinity is in our community. Honestly, for centuries, black men have had so little power and control in the grand sceme of things that they created this image-based masculinity as opposed to anything with real substance. So unfortunately, taking care of their responsibilities, staying out of jail, fathering their babies, etc., etc. falls to the wayside, but having a big penis and big muscles, and a rugged exterior became what both black men and women looked to.
So if you like drama and thugs, you have issues, and unfortunately too many of us have those issues. Personally, I think I've seen the light. I've liked nice guys my entire life. Many of us deserve to be treated better, but we settle for the thug crap. It's unfortunate.

By the way, Buddha isn't a thug. Just a psycho.

Excellent analysis and dead on. Also, I think "thugged up" is being mistaken for the whole rap look, etc. By thugged up, I meant TOUGH looking. Not thuggish.

But I totally agree that none of the guys on the show are thugs. But do have tough exteriors and some aggression. In Buddha's case, he is very aggressive both mentally and physically.

It's not a black woman thing at all.

In a city area like where I am from, in poorer areas. Girls/Woman, are often attracted to the bad boys. It's the whole "Nice Guys Finish Last" thing. Around here, if a guy "looks" like a thug (doesn't seem to matter what he really is) and does steroids, acts tough, drives a luxury car like a Lexus, the girls are all over him. He will usually cheat on them all the time because he takes it for granted. I was a REAL bad boy when I was younger and had a nice custom car I built myself. I didn't do steroids but my friends all did. By "REAL" bad boy, I mean not one that pretends to do the things bad boys do. The girls loved it. They loved guys who were dealers and carried a lot of cash around. When I went downhill and lost it all, the girls disappeared too.

So now, I've long cleaned up my act. I'm a nice guy now. I found out that most "hot girls" seem immature and since they have plenty of men chasing them around they will often cave in and cheat. I found out that it's more important to find a nice woman, who is intellectual, has a fun great personality and is cute. She doesn't have to be a hot plastic Barbie doll. To many men, they don't care what the girl is inside or what she does, as long as she is hot. Jerry Seinfeld made a joke before how Woman want to marry doctors but men don't care, "So you work at Slaughter House butchering cows? Your gorgeous, can I get your number?"

Girls have always loved the bad boys. You will always have exceptions of course and many girls do mature and grow out of that and start looking for a mature guy to make a life with.

Me, I am the bad boy gone good.

i totally agree. i also go by how you define agressive. i don't want a punk that won't defend me if he needs to. I think a lot of people are defining agreessive as abusive which are two different things. i would say my father was agressive when trying to woo mother but he was no abuser.
