Damn it White People.

So Kevin Hart is allowed to say this?

What about a white comedian? RIOTS..

Dude, that was SO not extreme!

reply

Please don't stoop to their level and pretend to be offended by words. Acknowledge their countless double standards to point out their hypocrisy and show them as fools to fellow indoctrinated whites.

There was a TMZ story about some black rapper (never heard of him) and his entourage getting into a big brawl at a club. I wrote "Black people, lol" and got accused of racism. They did a typical black thing. If a black person goes "white people" we're meant to take it on the chin. Double standard.

reply

"Typical black thing"?

reply

Yes, white people are also allowed to say, " Damn it, white people," to answer your question, OP. :)

reply

The OP is so right.

Kevin Hart should know his place and treat weak, insecure beta males with the Politically Correct respect they're entitled to.

reply

Yeah at first I thought the same as the OP...A little surprised that, in an age where any racism (for the sake of humor or not) is frowned upon, this line made it into the movie. But then I thought that the whole blacks-making-fun-of-whites type of comedy is overplayed, and the line just wasn't funny. I moved on.

reply

Well if he said it to a policeman he would had got shot!

Its that man again!!

A black person saying something about whites brings an entirely different connotation than whites saying something about blacks.

Why is it so hard for people to acknowledge that context means a LOT in verbal communications.

For instance, if your pet name for your girlfriend is 'cupcake', that could be cute. But if i went up and called your mother, 'cupcake', you'd be mad. You see? context.

Kevin Hart's line in this movie was so off my radar, it truly didn't even register as something i needed to pay attention to. The only thing i cared about is if the joke was valid enough to be funny... It probably wasn't, since i don't really remember him even saying it.

This isn't a good talking point. Daniel Tosh makes fun of other races all the time and he is hilarious, however, the stuff he says is actually always based on truth, which I assume strikes a deeper chord. Kevin Hart seems like a pretty reasonable guy and you gotta be pretty insecure not to be able to take a few of his jabs every once in a while. We can all laugh at the mexican, asian, and black jokes but not at white jokes? I mean, it all depends on if they are funny, and the one in the movie was lame, but no reason to get bent out of shape. Lighten up!

..But still,It was a weird joke that kinda came out of nowhere.. If Will Ferrell was telling Kevin Hart in a movie to be on time and then delivered a line- " Damn Black people"..There would be protests and looting down the street trying to ban all of his movies.
