Theatrical or Black/White?
What version do you prefer? I like the b/w much better. Creepier, much more atmospheric, and the CGI doesn't look that goofy.

shareI agree
shareB+W, every time.
shareIf others want to try out black and white version, lower the saturation in the player to zero. There, instant pretentious artistic vision.
shareSeriously, is there a black and white version (official) of this?!
shareYup.

See this is why we can't lose these message boards. I would have never have known about this version.
shareThe CGI looks much better in black and white, and it does have more atmosphere. But the story is the same, so I have no big preference one way or the other.
shareDid it finally air? I must've missed it. So what did you guys think?
shareI don't know if it's aired somewhere. I had to go "looking" for it. But I heard somewhere that it is on some DVD or Blu Ray release.
As to what I thought about it. The black and white took out some/most of the goofines out of the monsters. And the mist looks really eery as well. I think it's more fitting of the tone of the film. But the story is still good enough for the colour version too.
I thought it was the show. My bad. I saw the color version and let me say the walking dead experiments with the technique and I think it adds to atmosphere.
