in the real story he kind of sells the drugs and recived money for them so they arrest him, but wouldnt in the context of the movie a lawyer could get him out quickly? he even says to his friend that he doesnt want the package so they cant even charge him with conspiracy.
True. The DEA would have to provide proof that Jason agreed to accept the package before hand (perhaps through a tapped phone conversation, etc.). Otherwise, it's just a random mail package that is opened by a curious kid.
Based on what happened in this film, I could set up any random well respected citizen by just mailing 20 pounds of meth to their house, then providing an anonymous tip to police about it. Stupid.

A movie with a premise that idiotic can only get worse, not better, fact. Don't care who lived, died, went to jail, didn't, just another trashy pile of a movie I'd forget in a few days anyways
