Film has an average rating of 74% on Metacritic (avg critic score)

Guys,

Check out these excellent reviews on the net I just found via MetaCritic:

http://www.horror-movies.ca//reviews.php?id=2619 - 10/10
http://www.moviesmademe.com/movie/review/1444 - 10/10
http://www.dreadcentral.com/reviews/zombie-diaries-the-dvd - 7/10
http://www.close-upfilm.com/reviews/z/zombie_diaries.html - 9/10

etc etc

This is the best place to gauge a film's merit. The Zombie Diaries clearly stands out as one of the best of the new cinema verite style movie.

It's true, they are the filmmakers and they are lying to try and convince IMDB that the score for this film was spammed and shouldn't be a 4.3. And to try and convince people that their movie was really good and that it should be bought.

It shouldn't be bought! Everything I have heard and experienced screams DON'T WATCH IT!! So I stay away.

This film will not ever be on metacritic.com anyway, because the publications that reviewed it (so far I've counted one, and it was very suspicious) are no-name internet cookie-cutter horror sites. Terrible movie "critics" sometimes slip through the cracks over there and at rottentomatoes, but movies like Zombie Diaries are not even watched by those critics because there is no point.

reply

Fermented666 is having another cry it seems. You should read publications like EMPIRE magazine, SFX, DVD Review, DVD Monthly, Fangoria, as well as websites like Dread Central, Horrormovies.ca where the film has received very favourable reviews. Guess that's hard to accept tho. Keep spamming your hate and abuse :)

reply

Wahh, wahhh, wahhh. You're the one crying, kid! Post the reviews here, let's see them! Oh wait, they don't exist? Awwww, too bad! That's the best you can do? Make a joke about someone crying for the billionth time and again post unsourced "facts" (untrue facts)? BTW, nice crying you did over on the Soapbox. Now THAT, that was a good crybaby act.

reply

And on Fangoria's website there are many negative reviews of the film.

Good film. One of the best of last year.

Last year?
I thought this came out 3 years ago?

Another lie by the filmmakers to claim that Romero "stole their idea". The real story is that they saw Romero was going to make a movie called "Diary of the Dead" and decided to cash in by making a movie with a more-than-suspiciously similar name and make a push for publicity by claiming Romero "stole their idea". Total lies. Too bad it didn't work and nobody gave a crap about "Zombie Diaries". Too bad "Diary of the Dead" is a fantastic movie that is miles beyond this film both artistically, intellectually, and is also better directed with better acting and a better plot.

Why do you bump this thread when it is obviously a lie?

This *beep* is sickening. What a disgrace to filmmaking. Not the movie, which was still godawful, but reading the attempts of three morons who're obviously hired by the filmmakers or are the filmmakers themselves to promote this movie is activating my gag reflex faster than I could imagine. Let's do some research, shall we?

If you call me a "troll", let's see a definition of the word "troll", you dumbasses:

"•In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community"

Giving our point-of-view of the movie, which is generally negative, ISN'T trolling. It isn't off-topic, irrelevant or trying to purposely piss somebody off. These are DISCUSSION BOARDS, in which you DISCUSS. Nobody here is being rude, and no mere fan would take such negative reviews to heart and call them trolling. I smell bullsh*t. The only person or people who could possibly see negative reviews as trolling are people who obviously want to cover it up so more people buy the movie. And who wants people to buy a movie more than anyone else? Why, the movie's CREATORS, of course.

Also, Metacritic NEVER put up 74%. This movie is not on Metacritic at all. Sure, some can easily dismiss it if I SAY such things, but, hey! Let's go crazy! I think I'll post evidence that it isn't.

Search results for simply "zombie diaries":

http://www.metacritic.com/search/process?sort=relevance&termType=all&ts=+zombie+diaries&ty=0&x=37&y=4

Not satisfied? Okay, then. We'll add "the" to the beginning:

http://www.metacritic.com/search/process?sort=relevance&termType=all&ts=+the+zombie+diaries&ty=0&x=33&y=1

Through at least two searches, due to the fact Metacritic has a very good search engine, it's pretty much safe to say ZD was NEVER rated on Metacritic.

Next, these guys claim that it was one of the best films of last year. Your source? None? Didn't think so. You fail, again, you lying bastards.

Also, I see that the movie DOES have one very good review. This is probably what you use to defend yourself with most of the time when all else fails: a little critic site that isn't quite as major as Metacritic or Rotten Tomatoes, a site called Eatmybrains.com which, judging by the miniscule amount of forum members, isn't a reliable critic site. Another reason: they will hire ANYONE to write their reviews. Quote from "Jim" (also the same guy who reviewed ZD, who can't even spell "realize") on his ad to get writers to submit reviews:

"And one final point - we're not looking for pros or people with masses of experience. We're just looking for enthusiastic writers whose work is easy to read and has a sense of humour. So why not mail me and we can go on from there?"

Who's to say "Jim" here isn't inexperienced as well? He is not the best writer, and I'm seeing typos right here in his advertisement to find other inexperienced writers. So, the review you had on your (oh, excuse me, I should probably just play along and say THEIR) press kit was written by an inexperienced writer. Also, that site has been known to be quite desperate for money and negligent for paying writers. Who's to say you *ahem* THEY didn't tip these guys off for a little slip in the review?

So, since Eatmybrains is obviously NOT a reliable critic's site ("Jim" here doesn't know the different between "we're" and "we've"), what were your other sources, again? Could you post links, maybe, instead of high-fiving each other while the rest of us sit perplexed at the *beep* you're feeding innocent consumers?

Sorry but Thad's post was very well written and had excellent points. As usual your one liner posts show that you are merely trolling here for the sake of it.

The overall post is far better than your one line bumps of topics such as this that are 100% false. Proving that he is right that you are either a troll or the filmmaker trying to hype a failed product.

*laughs*. Listen, Justin. I've been to many fanboards and forums, and well-hated TV shows and movies NEVER have a fanbase that goes to say other filmmakers are jealous of the directors of the movies they stick up for. Why not just give up the charade? If Kevin Gates (a.k.a You) was such a director that he had to be ENVIED, why isn't he working on anything or releasing another film? Hell, why are we even doing this in third person? I KNOW I'm talking to Kevin Gates, no sense in hiding it.

Do you think Spielberg or other good directors such as Burton or Jackson are PROUD that *beep* like you exist in the film world?

So, I think I'll give you a little challenge. If this film was so great, I want you to list five scenes you enjoyed and give me examples of how these scenes were emotionally pleasing and awe-inspiring, and why anybody would enjoy them such as you did. Try and at least be somewhat poetic and open your mind other from stupid replies such as "this is a great movie". I want you to clarify WHY the movie was great.

So, I challenge you. Do it.

You keep going to my Youtube channel, but here's the thing; I'm not embarassed by it. There's really nothing embarassing on it that I care about. I know you're trying to bring me down to your level of humiliation because someone found that you are desperate for a women to the point you need to use online dating. But I'm not ashamed of a thing on there.
