Is this a serialized or procedural show?

It sounds kind of procedural but then I read some posts that say it is pretty well wrapped up by the end, which makes it sound serialized.

I am looking for a good serialized show, and this one looks to have a great cast and has a high rating, so I was thinking of checking it out.

Not sure what your question means. "Procedural" and "serialized" are not mutually exclusive. It's quite possible to have a serialized procedural--e.g., Murder One.

Also, I think the word "procedural" is thrown around much too freely these days, as if any police show is automatically a procedural. Procedurals focus on the day-to-day routine of investigative procedures. CSI is a procedural, NYPD BLue was a procedural--or at least had a strong procedural element. On the contrary, I don't see Life as especially focused on police routine--quite the opposite.

As for whether it is serialized, like many other shows it's a mix. It has its case of the week, which is wrapped up in the course of an episode, but it also has an ongoing mystery which stretches out over the run of the show. I enjoyed the weekly cases, but the ongoing mystery is what really attracted me--that and the characters and the way they related to each other.

Personally, it's one of my favorite shows of all time, with a great cast, good writing--lots of quirky fun overall. I recommend it.

It is half episodic and half serial.
