Should this be watched before Inspector Morse?

There are a lot of references to Inspector Morse and Robbie Lewis' time with him through the Lewis series so, if given a choice, I'd watch Morse first. You will also learn a lot about Robbie's background and how he ended up the way he is. I did it that way because I watched Inspector Morse as it was created. I will tell you, and some will disagree, that I like the Inspector Lewis series more than Inspector Morse series although both are great. How fun to have two new series to start watching!

The Morse series is better in that Morse himself is the more interesting character.
The Lewis series is better in that the production quality and visuals are more appealing.
So there are arguments for both.
