Did anyone also sort of get an impression that this movie...

... in a way, was like a historical and EVOLUTIONAL revenge film or an attempt at one as such, complete with supernatural fantasy elements and extreme examples of explicit sex and painful violence, where one of its themes were women attempting to take revenge of men for how they may have been segregated and mistreated since the very first time men and women appeared on Earth?

Sort of like how, we have **** and revenge movies, we have feminist-themed movies (Ms .45, Thelma and Louise, von Trier's own Dogville etc), we have biblical movies, we have supernatural movies, movies that explore humanity, horror, surreal and fantasy movies and extreme and controversial movies, and in a way...

Lars von Trier's "Antichrist" (2009) was like an odd combination of all of them but unique and great enough on its own.

Even if in some ways, its also a parable about brainwashing and how if told many times throughout how someone is this and that, they believe it and it becomes second nature.

But in a both odd and disturbing sort of way, I think the movie was mostly that.

On a side note, I also read in reviews how the painful tortures that characters including a woman inflicts on a man etc cannot be classified as r**e technically or even sexual assault, gender reversal style or not, but even if its true, is performing painful torture like that including on sexual organs and almost killing someone "that much" or even "slightly" "better" or "less bad"? Regardless of what the law says even if in this movie, there IS no law to be found anywhere, its like an apocalyptic one man and one woman left on Earth scenario with minor surreal exceptions and supernatural elements?

And with those extreme images, what was the movie in your opinion trying to SAY?

And would you consider the character of "She" bad in any way and when "He" kills her, is that self defense or brutal inexcusable downright wrong "murder"? Or is nothing in this movie ever very SIMPLE?

And no internet in the film either where people can "rightly" or "wrongly" be influenced to either not do this or do that or be called "names" etc - although yes lol on the last part, eh he he.

Even though overall, I am more than happy to stick with the first part of my post here about it being an attempt at being a disturbing and surreal supernatural fantasy historical and evolution revenge movie.
