worst movie i've ever seen

i think this must have been the worst movie i've ever seen. i was shocked to read on imdb that the cinematographer has done a bunch of almodovar movies because tons of his shots were overexposed or out of focus. the dubbing was totally off at times (like watching a kung fu movie)...all of the characters (except for the lead and dryfus) were total caricatures with no depth and the dialogue was horrible (and rarely funny).

i liked greek wedding and even though i'm a guy i enjoy good chick flicks (notting hill, love actually etc)...this was not one of them. 1/10.

What did you expect? The Godfather? Relax..just enjoy the funny bits and roll with it! And if you find it really irritating just watch something else! Problem: Solved!

The first 30 minutes were excrutiatingly bad; the only reason my wife and I stuck with the film was that we took a bus tour of classical sites in Greece a few years ago and we wanted to see the sites again in the film (Olympia, Delphi, Corinth, etc)
The overdone, silly stereotypes of the tourists was bad writing, worse acting, deplorable directing.
And then we discover most of the film was shot in Spain!

guess you haven't traveled much...

the dialogue was horrible because you probably havent met many extreme stereotypical foreigners.. I have.. I found it so true, very funny movie...
I guess I could relate.. you couldnt..

The joy of Netflix. This wasn't a great movie. But it is fun and relaxing to watch. I've seen it three times on Netflix. It kind of grew on me as I noticed different things on subsequent viewings. There are some movies I can watch over and over and enjoy them each time...What's Up Doc, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Lightkeepers, any Jane Austen adaptation to name a few. This is one of them. The variety, yes the stereotyping, the scenery and the appealing ending all draw me back.

The caricatures were intentional. At the beginning she goes through the litany of "stereo-types" she is usually faced with in any tour group. All that did was create these characters to match her expectations.

update: 3/9/2013 for any lurkers who get this far in this thread, this has become one of my most often watched movies. It's a relaxing, feel good movie with (now) friendly characters. I watch it when I'm down and want a boost. I watch it to relax before going to sleep. Maybe that's where they get the term, "it's a sleeper?{: It's obviously not for everyone, especially for those who seem to need high impact, deep meaning and/or tense drama in every flick... but it works for me.

Worst movie you've ever seen? I reject your statement, unless you've never seen a Pauly Shore film, or any of Larry The Cable Guy's abortions.
