He wants to be Shia LaBeouf so bad!

I don't know if it was the casting job, the director's idea, or the actor's desire to play Shia LaBeouf, but I couldn't help notice that every thing Jason did in this movie - from his hair, to his voice, his antics, everything! - is a carbon copy of Shia LaBeouf's style. I would bet money that the producers wanted Shia for Jason's part, but clearly did not get him, so they molded or found this kid for the role. It was really annoying.

Excuse me? I don't remember Jason going "nonononono!" or speaking incredibly quickly. Look at how Jason was around the girl as well. That was totally un Shia-like. Shia usually exaggerates whilst Jason was real timid like.

Are you saying Shia is too good for this movie? Because he really isn't, it was a really good movie.

reply

^I agree.

The actor in this movie played it completely different than Shia. Look at the scene in Transformers 1 when he is showing off his "new" car to Megan Fox.

Shia is REALLY good at playing the awkward/comedic/talking real fast guy, whereas this actor just played it off as nervousness.

I don't see the similarity, other then both of them being Caucasian.

Well, I've got news for you pal, you ain't leadin' but two things: Jack and sh*t and Jack left town

Last thing any self respecting actor wants to be is a LeBeouf clone!

Its that man again!!

I'll be damned! You're right! That's why that charisma sinkhole of an "actor" seemed so familiar.

WORDS MEAN THINGS! Also, before you come to bitch about a plot hole, rewatch the show/movie.

If you've seen Shia movies than how can you mistake those two??? The other posters are dead on calling you morons. Watch Red State and tell me he's ripping Shia off.
It's not a decent predictable movie so it's gonna have the similar blue print
