Its also interesting, and not just with regards to this movie that...

... the term r*pe isn't just limited to those violent and forceful (as existent as they SADLY are, though) acts of forced sexual violation that we often see etc etc etc but also, as in THIS movie too, through acts of manipulation such as if you don't sleep with me, then under these circumstances you will starve to death etc.

And although some may (and a few even have) questioned such use of this term (and also, even if its not always classified as the 'r' word it is still to be considered sexual abuse as well) and how right it is, most would say it sure is, whether or not the culprits and the victims here including the doctor's wife played by Julianne Moore (even if she could've refused, it was still abuse in a way given the circumstances) agree that this was it. And did the doctor's wife also think "But isn't that a form of r@pe as well? I don't want it and couldn't endure it" but yeah, its still terrible and wrong in either instance but, if scales even apply here, possibly a bit or more monstrous in typical former examples and just in its own way as bad in latter ones even if I of course wish best for victims to recover, for culprits to be punished and confronted and to ensure such things don't happen.
