This is the best movie of all time

This movie is the most perfect piece of art ever crafted in human existence. I literally saw it a thousand times. The acting is top notch. The jokes are very witty and subtle. The story is both epic and tragically inspirational. I cried at the end lol. It's actually funny how people like old movies and not Avengers. I mean movies that are so old their black and white.

I'm glad it gets recognized by critics because it should. You must be a pretentious hipster to not give this gem 10/10. I hope it will reach number one spot on IMDB.

One of the best. Not the best mon ami.

reply

So what movies do you think are better than this masterpiece?

reply

I'm not joking when I say Avengers ia as epic as it deserves to be. I don't remember when I enjoyed a film THIS much and I really loved a lot of 2011’s offerings.

reply

Do you mean that?

You're on that list? Are you above or below angry bees?

Rest assured that The Avengers does delivers on every level and does so with great emotional moments. It’s a movie that lives up to all the hype it has generated and will continue to generate now that people are seeing it and falling in love with it completely.

reply

Critics and audiences agreed that “Marvel’s The Avengers” put the “pop” in popcorn movies last summer. That it turned out as well as it did is amazing, actually, if you consider that it’s directed by Joss Whedon, a guy who had only worked on one other full-length feature before (“Serenity,” 2005). But Whedon gets it. “They’re a mash-up; they’re insane,” Whedon said. “But the beauty of that is as exciting as the problem of that is daunting.”

reply

Certainly the best comic book movie.

reply

That's all that matters really. Best comic book movie could be the most entertaining movie ever given the current climate and where the cinema is heading.

reply

Third best comic book movie.

reply

Avengers is THE best comic book movie and that includes the graphic novel stuff like A History Of Violence and Road To Perdition. It's just that good.

reply

If Avengers is the best of all-time then it stands to reason it's by far the best of the year 2012, right?

reply

yeah... no. Out of all the words I could use to describe this movie subtle and tragically inspirational do not come to mind.

reply

There's quite a bit more subtlety than you've seemed willing to give it credit for, so far, including a moment where Banner reflects on what he's lost, a sibling rivalry of sorts between Tony and Steve that mirrors the rivalry between Thor and Loki, and the question of whether Loki's struggle with how he feels about Thor is genuine or just another of his tricks.

Tragically inspirational I can go along with, though. Don't see that in the film, even when you include Coulson's death.

In death, a member of the Avengers Initiative has a name. His name is Phil Coulson.

reply

I also think all the Black Widow stuff was wonderfully subtle. Her interrogation of Loki and her down time with Clint are masterful. Her scene with Banner is one of the best of the entire year.

Tragic? No but the movie is very inspirational. The characters all inspire from Cap not backing down one bit to Tony making the sacrifice play.

reply

Sarcasm aside, Avengers is literally the most enjoyable movie experience of the past 15 years. Does enjoyment and entertainment value count for everything?

reply

Like, totes! It's better than Shawshank, better than Seven Samurai, better than chocolates and orgasms and Satie, better than sunny May days and fluffy puppies with one floppy outside-out ear, better than pizza and go-carting and brown paper packages tied up with string! It's like, so much better than everything!

Excellent thread, OP. Best I've seen all minute.

reply

OMG thank you! You are too kind, glad you also enjoyed the movie! I will add you to friend list and I hope we can chat for hours because I can already tell - we have a lot in common!

reply

Almost as good as Nolan's home movies!

9 in 10 adults over 40 have a lovelife that's all in their heads. Fantasy is the only way to survive stuck with the same person year after year.

At least fly to Nevada where it's legal, clean and regulated.

Problem solved.

No, you don't, lying loser. That user was you on your other account, and you were admitting to visiting brothels in Nevada. You've also called me a "liberal douche" and exhibited homophobia. This Marvel obsession you feed with multiple accounts and endless spam is evidently the least of your personal issues.

Oh man, Avengers delivers a lot of action to go along with an intriguing plot. This is the best paced and most thrilling 2 hour and 20 minutes I’ve ever spent in the cinema. There are so many wonderful and perfectly placed humorous moments as well. What else? A classic villain, superb acting and action beats that could be the best that I’ve ever seen. There are so many incredible stunts, unbelievable feats and a climax that plays in the best way possible. The finish features one wave after another of edge of your seat moments. For me, a fan, it’s as fantastic of a movie that’s ever been made and I’m not exaggerating one bit. Avengers is everything I hoped for and I guarantee no one will be let down by this movie unless you are that select few that wanted it to fail in the first place for one reason or another.

Well said!
