Rinko is probably one of the coolest characters ever. She should have her own film. Though, I guess that would ruin the mystery that is Rinko--but still, it would be awesome.

I know where you're comin' from. I couldn't be bothered to follow all the twists and turns of the elaborate con because I was too intent on watching Bang Bang, even when she was in the background. What a scene stealer! For me, essentially, this was a Rinko film.

yeah man I totaly agree with you,
I just kept looking at her doing whatever she was doing on each scene like when she was sleeping with gloves on the her hands,
or even when she is in the background looking at something,
I'm not sure if it's the actress or the character but it was Great

I just saw her starring in "Map of the Sounds of Tokyo". Arty film that not everyone will appreciate, but she was wonderful. She has some sex scenes in it, too. Hauntingly beautiful woman...

I'd been dying to watch this movie for a long time, and upon finally viewing it, I was a bit disappointed. I still enjoyed it, but not as much as I wanted. However, Bang Bang was just an epic character. She stole the entire movie. I would definitely watch a whole movie around her character, despite her being somewhat mute.

Did anybody else noticed how she got angry when Mark Rufalo gave her a fake Chinese name?
She's just greaaat

I think she was just ticked off that he chose such an obviously fake name, because it risked making the other person suspicious. I don't remember what the name was, but didn't it have something to do with the apple she was eating, and that's why she chucked it overboard in disgust? I might be confusing two different scenes after all this time, but I remember the apple toss made me laugh.

i believe she tossed the apple overboard as a reaction to Penelope connecting the names of the Curator and the boat they were on to a novel (forgot the name). i wasn't really sure why it gave everyone pause though

It is rare that a character can steal every scene she is in without speaking a word. Screenplay and actress both deserve credit.

I think that's true. Her throwing the apple over the side made everyone focus on her instead of Penelope connecting certain dots.

The fake name was Yeung Ling, and Penelope immediately recognized where he got the name. "Like the beer?"

Erm, Rinko is the actress, Bang Bang is the character.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
