Fake and Corny

The movie seemed really fake. That's not at all how people that are terminally ill act or what they go through. Plus Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman just played the same type of characters we've seen them both play many times before. Nicholson is some wild crazy fool, Freeman is once AGAIN playing the wise, deep thinking pious man. Screw this schmaltzy crap. There are better movies out there that deal with cancer in more realistic, truly touching ways. This looked like a high school play or made for TV movie. Morgan Freeman's narration reminded me of that Simpons or Family Guy episode where they had Freeman on saying something like "I'm Morgan Freeman, and people like hearing the sound of my voice, and hearing me narrate things..."

John Mayer's song is one of the only good things about this movie.

How many terminally ill people have you even met in your life? Even if you've known 1,000 of them, your criticism of the movie is it didn't depict what others lives were like when they were ill?

That's such a ridiculous thing to say. There is no set standard for how people act in ANY situation let alone terminal illness.

I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least its an ethos.

I know myself and met a few others. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and was told I had 6 months to 1 year left to live. I have since overcome it and I have happily been in full remission for the past 2 years.

So I can speak from experience. I know other survivors and have met those that have passed.

Everyone is different and responds to treatment differently...it is also just a movie.

Ha! You should have thought of that before you became peasants.

"How many terminally ill people have you even met in your life?"

A couple of points..

1) People can't be 'terminally ill', as people can't die. Only the body dies, the human doesn't. Hence, only bodies can be 'terminally ill'.

2) We're all living in 'terminally ill' bodies - everyone's body in history has died, and everyone's body will die. Everyone reading this that is still in a physical body, will experience the death of that body sooner or later. It's just a matter of time.

What does it matter if it's two weeks or 200 years? Your body will die and you will then be transported to live in a completely different environment, completely different lifestyle than you did on your temporary visitation on this crummy planet.

See you on the other side, where I don't have a charlimit and can explain a lot more..

I sorta see ur point to the extent that even if u had known 1000 terminally ill people like the other gentlemen saiid and u ur self were at once diagnosed as terminally I'll neither u nor I who am terminally ill and am actually winding down to the end myself no of us, at least me I assume aren't billionaires so if we were I bet we would act EXACTLY like these two balls to the wall full on gusto ! At least I wish I could and while I'll never get to Egypt or drag race a gt I'll be skydiving next week and I'm sure I'll love it cause hey what's the worst that can happen except havin a little fun which I think is the whole point of the film, hell the point of life live like its ur last day I think that's what gave this movie it's heart. I saw it before I was dying and I still wish I could live each day like that! God bless us all or at the very least if not livin like the bucket list maybe live it like Jordan Belford if only for a day
