Anyone watch the tribute to Christopher Plummer on the extras?

I thought he was brilliant, hysterical, and just absolutely well spoken.

It's funny, his words are so crafted and refined but he seems to be able to connect with audiences that are more pedestrian.

Also, what a memory. I'm thinking about reading the Biography even though it appears lengthy.

I was glad I checked out this extra on the DVD. The movie was good, but this portion of the DVD was excellent.

Yes! I saw your post and went to watch it. I must say I was rather diappointed with the film itself but that tribute was great! What a man. I also want to get a hold of the biography now. He looks fantastic for an 80 year old man! Wow what I would have given to have seen him in theatre!

It was funny- that "Why are you not a household name?" thing he told with Mike Wallace.
He's not a household name probably because since the S and M he wasn't in huge films and he didn't get that role, as he said, that was as good as all his stage ones. I'm sure in theater-oriented homes he was a household name.

He would be there all night, and he would be there when Jem waked up in the morning.

He was great (as Mike Wallace interestingly enough) in "The Insider" which I thought was a great movie.

I just like the way he speaks and seems so open and approachable. You'd think such an accomplished guy would come off snobbish because he speaks so well, but it doesn't come off that way at all.

He is also narrating the TCM movie documentary series (7 parts) that is currently on TCM. He has that golden buttery voice....

Yes the tribute was very good. He's eighty years old! I thought he passed away.
