Why is it that i get the feeling some people haven't seen Manos the Hands of Fate. As for Them not speaking German. Most people do not want to read subtitles in every movie that has anything to do with a foreign language. And its stupid to demand that every f$$$ing actor learn all world languages.

Unfortunately, most people who speak English only and are opposed to subtitles will end up missing out on all of the best nazi occupation/holocaust/fascism movies

I got girls up here do more tricks than a god damn monkey on a hundred yards of grape vine.

It is because people have different taste and expectations. That's all their is too it, whether they be critics or viewers. In their own little mind and world they imagine something entirely different to get the chemistry in their brains flowing. This is a good thing but can also be a limiting bad thing.

While the movie isn't perfect I like the direction of the movie. The burning of the books brought tears and confusion why anyone would ever think of doing. I wouldn't worry too much about those that "hated" the movie. The language is just fine; and you know what, some of these posters may have even watch Kung Fu movies and enjoyed them. The fault stems from the narrow-minded view that because they didn't enjoy it that it is immediately at fault. For someone that isn't German or American but like myself I find it appropriate and well done.

While it is good to read the negative comments it shouldn't take long to comprehend where the other person is coming from and expecting. From my point of view, I find most to be ignorant, although they think are are smart (read the language posts), and extremely narrow-minded (again, they think they are not). But it is what they like and there isn't much you can do except read them and move on.

Further proof that Rotten Tomatoes is a joke.
