Are there ANY funny bits in Love Guru

Or is it really as mind numbing as people have mentioned?

reply

Its funny watching the next group of people going in thinking there going to see a good film. otherwise no, there are none.

Timberlake's scenes made me chuckle, but other than that, almost nothing.

"I just want my phone call"- The Joker
Dark Knight #1 on IMDB, get over it

agreed :

" Why do you keep your heads down tabarnak .. we can beats these clowns . "

one of the only laugh i had in the movie . but i watch it over and over again .

reply

i guess that would really depend on your humor.

some people would get it, some people won't.

i laughed on most parts of the movie, to be honest. the random scene with jessica alba and mike meyers suddenly singing to a hindi song literally made me lol.

e.e. cummings style!

Only one line: "what is it you can't/c-nt face?"
"What did you call me?"

Mini-me's office scene was f#@king hysterical. One of the funniest scenes ever.

reply

Nah it was definitely worth a look. Justin Timberlake's love of Celine Dion was funny and there were definitely enough moments in there to entertain the mike myers fans.

"I am Jack's cold sweat."

I liked the scenes where the sitar was used to play contmeperary hits like "9 to 5" and "The Joker." And Jim Gaffigan adopting the stating-the-obvoius style of John Madden right after Darren's suspension was pretty funny.

"So why don't you make like a tree and get out of here."

reply

I thought Timberlake's scenes were humourous, as were the Stink Mop sequence in India and ALL of the Bollywood dancing!

lol, its worth 2 rent the dvd!

If you are a 9 year old boy who thinks a fart where you have to wipe is the funniest thing on earth, you may find humor here. Otherwise no, there is nothing here but a funny look on your face as you try to understand how a film like this got made.

The only laugh-out-loud part of the film is the idea of the Toronto Maple Leafs winning the Stanley Cup.

There was just one scene that actually made me laugh, which was the scene where the overbearing mother commenting to herself that she should have been more hard on her son and Meagan Good just gives her this look.

I waited the whole movie through, having faith in Mike's ability, as he was so good in Austin Powers.

I am still waiting, after the movie is over... nothing funny yet.
