Mike Myers' career has never recovered from this movie.

...and for this we should be thankful.

I am. I never thought he was funny. Somehow he became famous from Austin Powers, which was also not funny. He wasn't even funny in Wayne's World.

Meh I kinda feel sorry for him...Adam Sandler hasn't made a funny movie in years but he's got more bank so he can get projects started.

Myers "comeback" project if he has one may never get made...and who knows, it could have been decent...

Anyone notice this movie also seems to have killed Jessica Alba's and Verne Troyer's careers?

Before this movie, Jessica was headlining movies-now she more or less has been relegated to being a supporting actress (with the exception of Spy Kids 4). And, after this movie, when's the last time Verne Troyer has been in a movie? He didn't even reprise his role in the last Harry Potter movie for crying out loud!

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

Has Verne Troyer had any notable roles outside of Mike Myers vehicles? it's tough to write a short person into a role since there aren't many.

Supposedly Myers is very well respected in the film community despite 'Dietergate'. It's reported that all the celebrity cameos he puts in his films are written in the script and celebrities rarely turn him down. I kind of think he just doesn't want to act any more or hasn't comne across roles he wanted to do. He could easily find lesser stuff if he wanted to. People mention Adam Sandler, he's friends with Myers (they were on SNL together), I'm sure Sandler would gladly cast Myers if he asked for a role in his films.

Well, the cat in the hat started the process. This just sealed the deal.

It's such a waste.

We know from Wayne's World and Austin Powers that Mike Myers can be talented, funny, have great comedic timing and even marvellous ad-libs.

I don't know what happened to him, in this movie, he seems like some kind of hack that doesn't know what humor even is.

To be fair, same thing happened to Rowan Atkinson as well. One moment, a genius. Next moment, producing garbage drivel that no one in their right mind would ever voluntarily watch.

Mr. Bean the TV show is hilarious, Black Adder is sublime.

Mr. Bean the movies are atrocious, watered-down, americanized crap that can't even be compared to the TV show.

Johnny English is 'mediocre' at best, and absolutely awful at worst. The less said about the Johnny English sequels, the better.

I think his lowest point is 'Rat Race', though.
