to all the bashers...

Though I didn't personally work on this movie, I have worked with the people who made it and all I can say is that they make the most out of the small budgets they have to work with and I feel they did a great job of making it work. These movies are fun, the cast and crew are great to work with.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that movies are suppose to be fun to watch and that's exactly what Mr. Jingles is. It's a fun horror movie with an equal balance of thrills and laughs. The death scenes are great and the local talent did a great job. If you don't think that people love these kinds of movies, come out to a feature night or a Skeleton Factory premiere and you'll see.

Just my opinion, congrats on the DVD release guys! :)

I work at a video store and someone rented it and was so pissed off after watching it that they wanted their 3 dollars and 22 cents back. This person was PISSED!

If you bitch and moan enough you might be able to get your money back.

reply

Not true. Just let the video store owner see it. They be happy to give you a refund and if your lucky like I was, you'll also get to see them throw it in the trash.

reply

Your a retard. This movie is terrible. Your mom's ass makes better horror movies.

reply

That's what we're saying.

It sounds like he is the only person in the movie trying to protect it from bad reviews. Truly, after seeing Mr. Jingles, I have no interest whatsoever in seeing their other films. The line that says "...to watch and mold your production after" is insulting as a statement alone. Nobody in their in right mind would give this film five stars, let alone 10 stars. Even "Jaws" is only a 9 for me (and it's my favorite). I understand and commend the man, though. Making a movie is a lot of work...but, You have to let the film stand on it's own legs. No planted review will make anyone like the film any better. In fact, people will only give your next review LESS credit or none at all.

yo i loved this movie just cus it had soo many hilarious quotes mr. jingles said

Everything aside, the acting, lighting, sound quality, whatever. THE SCRIPT MADE NO SENSE! What in God's name is that crazy guy with long hair babbling about? First he says Jingels is bad, then he was framed, then god knows what. I've watched the movie with several people, no body has any idea what the hell is going on.

I actually really liked this movie. I mean, it was certainly no classic, but I think what's so great about it was that it was so incredibly bad, that it was actually good. I'm a fan of crappy, cheaply made horror films, I think they're extremely funny, just as I did this film. I commend the cast and crew for making this film, because film-making is VERY difficult and expensive. Like I said, it wasn't a classic, it was cheesy, fell into so many cliches, the writing was almost as bad as the acting, but all these bad qualities just made it even funnier. If you honestly rent/buy a horror film with a clown on the front with the title "Mr. Jingles" and have high expectations, and expect it to be a 4-star masterpeice, then it's YOU with the problems

And I think it's pretty dumb to never watch another film by the writer and director simply because one movie was bad. Suppose Quentin Tarrantino, Woody Allen, Sophia Coppola or Steven Speilberg made ONE bad film in the beginning of their careers, and noone watched another movie afterwards? Then we'd never have seen "Kill Bill", "The Virgin Suicides", "The Purple Rose Of Cairo" or "E.T."

I'm not saying Mr. Jingles was good by any means, in fact it was horrible, but it was so horrible, it was funny, and likeable

Most filmmakers like Spielberg and Carpenter have good "first" films. I maintain that I will NOT pay to see another one of these people's (Mr. Jingles) films. They just didn't put care or detail in the film. ANY first time filmmaker will give his first film a real good try. That wasn't the case here. They just wanted 80 minutes of footage. 80 minutes of footage does not make a movie! I'll put my money on other struggling filmmakers who care about their product.

It is impossible for any of those people to make a movie as bad as this. Even if they tried they can never come up with something as atrocious as this piece of crap. And if they did make a bad movie than people would still see their others.

Remember that George Lucas was the Executive Producer of Howard the Duck and that didn't kill his career.

reply

I could not believe how bad this movie was. I mean, I love watching really terrible horror movies because they make me laugh, but this movie just blew me away. Obviously it had a low budget, but a low budget is no excuse for the TERRIBLE acting and even worse script. I understand that everyone involved with the film worked very hard, and if the results of their hard work are Mr. Jingles: Deffinately don't quit your day job! Wow!

Holy hell, what did the police officers shoot Mr. Jingles with? A *beep* cap gun?

Talk about the funniest movie in YEARS.

That's stupid...budget has nothing to do with making a good movie. I made an amateur film with NO BUDGET and I think my film is way better than this piece of sh_t

the link is my signature...it's a horror/torture film...

and i didn't have a budget like the people who made mr. jingles did...so again...budget has nothing to do with making a good movie.

unfortunatley, this movie was not fun at all to watch. It was painful. I had to try so hard to not run to the kitchen and gouge my eyes out with a fork. You gotta understand there is a fine line between "fun" movies and "pure *beep*
