Wow. Iran is horrible.

I never realized how terrible it was to live in that country. Bombing, war, warrantless arrests, executions. And don't even get me started about banning alcohol, playing cards, and other stuff. And to top it off, the women were treated horribly. They have to cover their heads in public. I love how there was a statue of liberty/skull on the wall, as if implying America is evil to its citizens. I still don't get how people in Europe talk about how evil America is when we give our people tons of freedoms.

"Look! There's Gregory Peck's bicycle!"

your perception is correct... only on the surface; but a bit of research (not conspiracy theory, but plain official history) will shed light on the fact that it is precisely America along with several other western nations who has created the mess Iran is in, as well as most other 3rd world regimes. In this case, it was obviously the oil; heck it's even in this movie, they mention the British corrupting the Shah, didn't you pay attention? They even mentioned the Americans funding the wars especially giving them weapons to both Iraq and Iran so they could kill each other while the greedy oil leeches pretended to help. Also they mentioned the Iranian officials who tortured civilians where trained in very specialized ways to cause pain and damage by who? the CIA.
I would watch the movie again and maybe pick up some research to confirm the awful contribution of America, and how the only way it survives better than other countries because it sinks other nations to keep its status quo.

Well that's the G O V E R N M E N T not the people, keep that in mind. Iranians are just like everyone else. Diverse.

reply

Exactly. Don't judge a people by their government.

reply

Hmm, let's see. It was AMERICA and BRITAIN that toppled Iran's democratically elected government and backed The Shah. That is why the revolution happened in 1979.

It's like you didn't even watch the f-ing movie. Yes, it's bad, but the people there are generally nice and try to make up for the oppression caused by the religious dunderheads. Doesn't that sound like another, far more familiar country that we know?

reply

I did watch the movie, thank you very much. And since when does this "familiar country" treat women like dirt? Here we have marriage equality and abortion rights. Not to much they wear whatever they wish without worrying about getting arrested

Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel...

reply

You honestly don't believe that the US is being held back by christ-tards? Wow you are thick.

Um, how about for most of its history?

All those things you mentioned women have in the U.S., they had to fight to get them. They weren't just given.

Let's be bad guys.

The US now has the Social Justice Taliban, who destroy anyone who doesn't agree with their Marxist cult.

Religion is at the heart of it all.
