Where are you from? Do you like this film?

I have watched this film and enjoyed it very much...though it's not a very pleasant experience due to the sorrow story .
It seems to me that people in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan could understand this moive more, furthemore...love it.

I would like to make s small survey...

2. do you like this film?

Born in the UK. Lived abroad a lot in France and now Asia. Now in Vietnam.

Really enjoyed it. Very interesting and emotive. I can't see I fully understand the film yet having just watched it once and not understanding Chinese relied on subtitles.

I think to understand the film you need to be mature emotionally and sexually. You need to have had the kind of sex the characters have. Lustful sex free from the constraints of a marriage or relationship.

The sex scenes were not erotic to me - leaving me feeling turned off because of the emotional coldness. She hates him yet her body responds. It's convenient to think women aren't built like that but they clearly are.

Very interesting film. I just wish the resistance group had succeeded in the end - but it's all the more powerful because they fail so tragically.

I'm from the Uk, so glad I gave this film a chance. Loved it, thought it was gripping and the female was excellent! Her acting in this is superb! & I thought the sex scenes were necessary in this movie.

I'm hungarian/romanian (born and raised in Romania), but living in Belgium for several years now.

Having just watched the movie, I was blown away. What an excellent espionage/noir/drama/love story. The amazing performances, the beautiful music and camera work, the emotional impact... How is this film not more popular??!! It's a brilliant cinematic accomplishment!
