Alice

Truly terrible character... or perhaps just over-acted by the girl/woman who portrayed her. Either way, the film would have benefitted with less screen time of her.

I'm 40 minutes into the film... I'm quite certain I will give up and shut it down in the next 10 if she continues with that atrocious attempt to look sharp or with that annoying quiver.

I can't say the film is good either.

Yup she is pretty bad. Can't stand these annoying dumb characters in movies. They always do stupid *beep* and for some reason they are in almost every scene

I was really disappointed when she had to go and snitch about the council. What a dumb ho. Then she gets the "crazy eyes" when the dude starts explaining stuff to her of what they had down in their files. She was tolerable up until that point then she just started to piss me off. Bitches like that can't keep their mouth shut and they just have to keep on tellin' even though it gets her nowhere.

Lead Cenobite: No tears, please. It is a waste of good suffering.

The OP was giving an honest opinion. Plus, it doesn't necessarily have to be that the OP needs some acting chops to be able to discern good acting. That is just weak argument and an insult to anyone who enjoys a good show (be it film, TV or theatre). Why else do you think, for example, theatre-goers go watch a play with certain actors? In fact, that applies to film and TV, etc. I guess you are unhappy the OP took a negative view-point on A.M.'s acting chop.

Honestly, Blood: The Last Vampire is about Saya and though the anime (looking back in hindsight) isn't that amazing, in my humble opinion I think Alice was useless to the plot and adds nothing to the live-action film.

I guess you are a fangirl/fanboy of A.M. to not only strike out at people who have every right to say whether they think an actor or an actress can act but you are also striking out at anime in general. If you do not like anime, keep your opinion to yourself unless you can elaborate in a concise way why.

Overall, in my humblest and fan of TV, film and cartoons/anime opinion, this whole film was bad and Alice's character just gave me a bonus headache.

2014 and after all these years I finally got to see this live-action version.... Honestly, I gave this a swerve when it first came out because I did happen to like the anime a lot (which in hindsight isn't that great compared to others out there). Anyways, after seeing quite a decent number of really good live-action adaptations recently, I thought why not give Blood: the last vampire a chance.

Maybe this is some people's cup of tea but this isn't mines. The mood and feel also did not match the darkness of the anime. Then there is Alice...........

Alice.........................

all I got was an added headache. Thank God I can switch between this and Lupin III.

I can understand why add Alice in this film but her character does not really give anything special back to the script or plot. I do not see her point at all. Just weakly executed character.
