Finally when it came to the shower scene I thought here it goes! You know how they slowly pan the body with goofy shower music? Then all you get is looking down at her head and a nano second of her breasts from the above angle!!
At least the head witch had some nice scenes but come on now. Nekkid witches is what we want in crappy films like this.
It's a HORROR movie--not a porn film. If I want female nudity I'll get it online. I find it kind of disturbing that so many guys get annoyed when there's NO female nudity in a horror film. It's like they need violence and pointless nudity to enjoy themselves. If the nudity is needed for the plot that's cool...but when u start throwing in pointless boobs and butt I just get annoyed. I'd LOVE to see how you guys would react if they had MALE nudity in a horror film (not that it's ever gonna happen).
share...I don't think anyone watches these films hoping for nudity but when the film is crap and they tease you with a bit here and a bit there you want to justify watching it by hoping for some nudity.
Besides, I don't remember ever seeing pointless boobs in any movie! Why get rid of the nipples?
Also, nudity is such a staple of horror films, that started way back with the Jason movies and Halloween movies that it's expected.
However, if it pleases you to see male nudity then help yourself. Personally I would prefer female nudity.
OK--u made some good points. IF the movie is crap then nudity can only help it. I prefer male--u prefer female. That's cool. It just annoys me when they throw in nudity for NO reason whatsoever. Look at Rob Zombie's pointless remake of "Halloween". We get multiple pointless shots of a topless girl who has been beaten by Myers and is in considerable pain. Seriously--is that erotic??? Meanwhile the boyfriend never even gets his shirt off! (To be truthful though I didn't want to see him shirtless either). I just find this mixture of extreme violence and female nudity kind of disturbing. However "purple..." u seem like a nice reasonable guy so I'll give it to u. But, seriously, you've NEVER seen pointless female nudity in a horror film??? Come on!

I mean, even in Eyes Wide Shut (which was probably about 90% female nudity), it was totally unnecessary for it to be a sex cult. It could have been any cult and the tension and message of the movie would have been exactly the same.

Well nudity WAS necessary for the plot in "The Crying Game" so you could understand what exactly was going on.
shareNot that anyone cares about this specific point in july 2013, but i disagree. The fact that the cult in Eyes Wide Shut was a "sex cult" was significant for the purpose of the film. The characters of Kidman and Cruise each had their own flirtations with infidelity; Cruise's dreamy interaction with the sex cult represented his own brush with infidelity.
However, I agree that the nudity wasn't strictly necessary. It would have been possible to tell the same story without any naughty parts visible.
i always thought the whole point to have nudity in horror films (especially when it comes to nude victims) was to make the viewer feel uncomfortable with it. Thats why they're called horror films - they're meant to be horrible.

I agree with you 100% Cee H but a lot of guys seem to find it exciting to see a nude or topless girl chased around by a killer. So--it's exciting to see a nude girl about to be killed or butchered??? I find that attitude disturbing.

These kind of films will always exist and they'll certainly become far more explicit as time goes by, but the hienous attitudes and actions we're talking about existed way before movies started to pave a way into our social fabric. The bibles a good place to start for some truly horrific behavior.

I find it hilarious that when MALE nudity is involved in a horror film (like "Fear No Evil") ther guys get ALL upset. God forbid we have that in a horror film! I'd love to see a horror film where a director has a hunky young nude guy slashed to death--but I'm not holding my breath. And you're right--the Bible is FULL of gruesome murders and death--but it's the Bible so that's OK--and yes, I'm being sarcastic:)

the beaver is shown in an attempt to add something to the film to make it better then it is, when in actual fact, it just sucks, and no amount of pussy will make it better.
I find your comment fascinating. I get it that you don't like the film (most people didn't) but saying Argento added nudity to make it better is absurd. I've seen almost all of his other films and he never resorted to crap like that.

Yeah--It was needed in "Sleepaway Camp" for the twist at the end. Most times u never see it. It's gotten to the point where I'm shocked if there ISN'T any gratuitous female nudity:)
