Peggy and Don (SPOILERS)

I just finished the episode where she quits and it tore me apart. My goodness, I could just FEEL that despair Don was feeling - and the way Peggy just was relentless about quitting. God that feeling knowing that something is truly over. It's done. You can't change it no matter how much you beg or plead. It felt so authentic - I'm not sure I've ever seen anything quite like it on TV.

AND THEN I LEARNED....

That those tears from them both were authentic. Don grabbing Peggy's hand and kissing it was not in the script and improvised by Jon. The two had become good friends IRL and he was genuinely moved to do that. You can even see him genuinely crying at the end of the scene.
