It's kind of a boring story

I couldn't get past half an hour, it was extremely boring. If i was a depressed teenager this movie could make want to shoot myself.

If you're 11 and into cgi I suppose it could be boring, but any older and you'd have to be a little bit soulless not to get this movie.

It has an idea, but doesn't know how to make the most of it. Really the potential was there to make a very good movie, but it's just so full of cliched characters and doesn't really treat the subject matter with enough respect to be taken seriously. Zach G brought a few laughs which at least interrupted the boredom, but this was a forgettable film for the most part that never seemed to have the guts to explore issues it could have.

It depends on who you are. I’m a middle-aged man who, at the age of 18, spent two months in an adult ward of a mental hospital following a suicide attempt (though in my case the next-youngest person was probably at least 35).
To me it wasn’t a terribly realistic or deep study of life in a psychiatric hospital, but I don’t think that was the point. It was basically a feel-good film about a teenage boy who’s feeling isolated and out of his depth, who – in the course of the film – realises that things could be a hell of a lot worse. I probably wouldn’t watch it again, but I certainly enjoyed it far more than I expected to when I saw it described as a black comedy, which isn’t an appropriate description.

It is kinda boring, especially the first hour. Needed more Emma in it really.

I sat through it for 30 minutes, waiting for the movie to get on its feet, but that's the whole story. It is this teenager with a case of coming-of-age depression that meets and relates to other people like him, the way the audience is supposed to be relating to him. And the audience is expected to be teenagers, I guess. Because as an adult, I don't really wanna sit through a movie of some kid figuring out things I figured out years ago.

You miss the purpose of the film. It was created to give you something to do while you are washing the dishes or mopping the floor. I think it's a perfect film.

If that's the case it would have been made as a TV Lifetime movie instead of a theatrically released film.
