She's nothing special as an actress. Pretty face but that's about it. Why couldn't they have cast someone who can actually act like Maria Bello or Jessica Chastain. I want to see the movie but am really not looking forward to having to see Reese in it.

She was never a good actress to begin with, but this was easily her worst, and that's saying a lot. She made Nicholas Cage look subtle with all her screaming.

I came here to write the same thing!! I was shocked.
The part called for someone who could truly cry at the drop of a hat but she couldn't even produce tears! The scenes in the court room she had to hide her face because the tears weren't even there.
Definitely a mediocre actress. The southern accent wasn't impressive as she is from the south, really she phoned this whole performance in IMO.
Maybe it's because she was pregnant and had her mind on that stuff; I have seen Reese turn in some good performances before. As far as the Southern accent goes; she IS Southern, so why would she screw THAT up? Her mind was not really on this performance. Maybe she didn't believe in the project?

That was my point: i think i worded it poorly but my point was she IS southern, thus it wasn't a challenging part for her (hence not impressive).
If she was pregnant and had her mind on that, not sure she should be paid the big bucks.
I agree, I never thought she could even act to begin with. You say she had a pretty face but I don't think she even has that.

Haha! I thought you were serious at first. I was like, really? :) Abilitly to "sell" a movie or attract a large audience doesn't always correlate with talent, as your list proves.
