The movie is about college students who discover their dorm was once an asylum for the criminally insane.
Wonder what dorm they'd think about, I'm staying in Lee Wicker.
I believe they're filming it in Margaret Nance, but I could be wrong.
shareA guy just came by our office here in Rock Hill and we gave him a traffic signal controller cabinet that had been hit by a car for a prop in one of the scenes.
He said they were filming at Winthrop. I didn't believe him, guess it's true.
I live in Lake Wylie (SC). They are filming a bit of the movie across the street from my house this Friday.

Dear Winthrop students:
A contract with Hyde Park Entertainment to film scenes on campus for ‘Asylum’, a feature length movie, has just been finalized. The offices of Public Events, Campus Police and Facilities Management have been working with Hyde Park’s location crew to minimize any disruption to classes or the regular business of the University. However, there will be intermittent traffic flow interruptions and some parking restrictions around Tillman, McBryde and the Meadows. To minimize inconvenience, Winthrop Campus Police will direct all traffic. Below is a filming schedule:
September 18 – main entrance at Oakland and Eden Terrace (Alumni Drive near memorial Circle); front lawn of Byrnes; front lawn of Tillman Hall (entering campus via Cherry Road, Stewart Street, or Alumni Drive recommended on this day)
September 19 – front entrance of Tillman Hall; Tillman Hall lobby; McBryde Hall (entering Tillman via any entrance except the front steps is recommended on this day)
September 20 – McBryde Hall
September 21 – McBryde Hall basement

shareThey are filming at a house in River Hills Plantation in Lake Wylie this morning. River Hills Security has the road closed off. They are filming at the following home which seems to stay on the market and is currently for sale(as always).

I just got an email today to be a part of the 'extras'... kind of excited about it, so later i can buy the movie and go frame by frame and yell "that moving person in the background is me!"
They've asked for me to be there this monday-wednesday for all the scenes involving 'extras'.
