Top 3 Final Fantasys

I chose to post on this game because i felt thered be more ppl looking, and to clarify i have only played VII on so i havent played the classics, but here are my 3 favorites and why

1. Final Fantasy IX - I feel the overall cast of characters (playable and non playable) is among the greatest ever, the music was phenomenal and loved the 4 man parties =P.

2. Final Fantasy X - The story was just incredible, probably the best ending ever and i loved the unique leveling system.

3. Final Fantasy VII - The music was amazing probably better than IX, loved the characters (minus Cait Sith -_-), and of course Sephiroth who is probably my favorite FF character.

Ah... one of these threads...

I would say that Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy VI are the greatest, although IV is my personal favorite. No experience matches the charm and brilliance of the stories and characters in these two games.

Without having even played VII yet, I might just throw it into the mix anyway, simply because folks say it is awesome, because I have seen the first few segments of it on Youtube, and because I know Square wouldn't follow up VI with anything bad.

But until I officially play VII, I should just throw FFIII for the NES into the third spot on my list. It is an outstanding game. I played it and beat it this year. It was even better than I thought it would be.

The classic FF games are the best.

Final Fantasy IV

Final Fantasy XIII & XIII-2(can't decide between the two)

Final Fantasy V- this game is such an underrated gem. Very few people talk about it when they mention Final Fantasy. I tend to hate the job system. The only game I ever liked it was in FF13. Then I played this game for iOS and fell in love with it. The job system was done to almost perfection. I hated the job system in FF Tactics and in FF3(my least favorite FF game). But in FFV, at least in the iOS version, it was extremely fun to level up my characters and it never felt like a chore to level up the classes too, to the point that I maxed out every class for every character. Not to mention that the UI in the game for the touchscreen was done to perfection. I'm not a big fan of touchscreen games, but I can't imagine playing this game in a different way because they made everything feel smooth and organic.
