Explanation for Day repeating????

I got hooked watching first several episodes on TV and then suddenly it went off air. Fortunately, I was able to watch to the end on the internet but while the premise was intriguing, as the events went on, the show lost its steam and by the end there was no explanation as to WHY WAS THE DAY REPEATING? I felt very cheated that I've invested so much time into this series and got nothing at the end. So, he finally figures out the entire murder plot... so what? where is the explanation for the repeating day? Did I miss something? Anyone else feel cheated??????

I think Jared was God and he intervened enough to let Hopper rectify the injustice without doing it all himself. He made the day repeat until Hopper solved the mystery and saved all the innocent souls.

By the way I am an atheist, but Jared at the end looked kind of holy and content with himself. ;)

I'm glad they didnt try to explain it and probably make the show look way too cheesy.Some things never get explained.

im also glad that they didnt explain day loop. but, there were some hints in ep 5, where hopper takes chad hostage in his office...

oh yeah, and jared had something to do with this day loop, his smile at the end proves that...

btw, cut off the show? i dont think so, this is the concept of the show to end it like this and not to do season 2...

Maybe the day wasn't repeating. Maybe, he is simply in a coma :P

I know how much that would piss a LOT of people off, but if the show stayed so well grounded in 'reality' as it were, that's a plausible ending. Perhaps he witness events before being shot or injured that he ends up solving in his own mind, unaware that he's really living a delusion that he's stuck in a time loop. Just his minds' way of processing the information, reconstructing some of it as it was damaged during his injury or something.

Or not :)

Guys.. ITS THE PLATE IN RITAS BATHROOM!!! i cant believe nobody noticed this. It breaks the first day and on the last day. Its so obvious.. It almost breaks again when they fight in the bathroom at the end but he catches it.
