Offensive, crude and just plain bad. How on earth did this drivel get more than 3 or 4 out of ten? A waste of some talented actors and I exclude that awful Brit.
I myself am British but his crudity is shameful.

Galluslass, I really like your avatar, whatever it is. Anyway, I know that Russell Brand is persona non grata in the UK but over here, his British accent alone would get him laid. I mean, whatever one thinks of her music, Katy Perry is a looker and a very rich one at that, and she chose RB. She dumped him because he wasn't as obsessed with farts as she is, that's all.

I totally agree with you, but vulgar and tasteless sell nowadays.

Jason Segel wrote it and he, Jonah Hill and Russell Brand are 3 of a kind.

I know I am late to respond to your post, but once I saw that the first word in your critique of this movie was "offensive", you were immediately put in the file cabinet in the "always offended a55h0le" folder.

So you didn't like the movie, no big deal. You made a post to point out why you didn't like it, once again no big deal. That being said once you said that it was "offensive and crude" that is where the problem starts. Yes, some of the humor could be construed as "crude", but offensive? How did this movie offend you?! Seriously, get over yourself and find a hobby because if a movie like this offends you I would love to know what kind of comedy you think is not offensive as well as being a 10.

Well said, Jack.

To each his/her own regarding the OP, but the movie is fairly well-written, with quirky, winning performances by most of the leads. It was fairly refreshing when I first saw it and the years have not been unkind to it.
